QloApps Marketplace Paypal Commerce Payment Gateway

The QloApps Marketplace PayPal Commerce Payment Gateway Module works seamlessly within the QloApps Marketplace, allowing guests to pay via PayPal.

Once the admin enables the marketplace and completes basic configuration, partner hotels can connect their PayPal accounts directly in the system.

When guests make a booking and pay via PayPal, the module automatically splits the amount between the admin and the hotel seller based on the commission rules set in the marketplace. 

The admin can choose whether payouts are released instantly or processed later based on business policies. 

Overall, this module ensures secure, transparent, and hassle-free payment distribution across multiple hotels without manual effort.

NOTE: Before purchasing this module, please check PayPal availability and supported currencies in your country to ensure the payment gateway is supported for your marketplace operations.

  • Admin can enable PayPal Commerce as a payment method and choose the environment (Sandbox or Production) for testing or live operations.
  • Admin can configure PayPal credentials, merchant IDs, client keys, and webhook settings directly from the module.
  • Admin can choose the disbursement mode (Instant or Delayed) to control how seller payouts are transferred.
  • Admin can enable or disable PayPal on the checkout page by default, giving flexibility over payment options.
  • Admin can view a dedicated “PayPal Transactions” tab to track order amounts, seller payouts, transaction status, and disbursement mode in “Marketplace”.
  • Admin can monitor seller onboarding from the “PayPal Onboarding” tab, including merchant IDs, account status, and confirmation details in “Marketplace”.
  • Sellers can connect their PayPal accounts easily through the onboarding process to start receiving payouts directly.

Note: Make sure the “QloApps Marketplace” module is installed and active before installing this add-on.

You can install the “QloApps Marketplace PayPal Commerce Payment Gateway” Module in just a few steps:

  1. Go to the Modules and Services tab in your QloApps back office.
  2. Click on Add New Module.

  1. Upload the module zip file and click Upload and Install this module to complete the installation.

Once these steps are completed, the module will be successfully installed and ready for configuration

After installing the module, it will appear in the Manage Modules list. 

To begin configuration, log in to your QloApps Admin Panel and navigate to Modules & Services

Use the search bar to locate the module in the list, then click Configure to open the settings and proceed with setup.

Once you click Configure, you will see the following settings:

  • Environment: Select how PayPal processes transactions.
    • Sandbox: Testing mode with simulated payments.
    • Production: Live mode with real payments.
  • Partner Attribution ID (bn-code): Identifies your PayPal integration.
  • Partner Merchant ID: Merchant identifier assigned by PayPal to link your marketplace account.
  • Account Email: Email linked to the PayPal merchant account application.
  • Client ID: Public identifier used to authenticate PayPal API requests.
  • Client Secret: Private credential for secure communication with PayPal APIs.
  • Create Webhook URL: Choose whether to generate a webhook URL automatically. Select “Yes” to create one, or “No” if you’re testing locally.
  • Disbursement Mode: Controls how payouts are released to sellers
    • Instant: Funds are released to sellers immediately.
    • Delayed: Funds held and released later based on admin approval.
  • Enable PayPal on Checkout Page by Default: Enables PayPal as a default checkout payment method.
    • Note: When this setting is enabled, guests will see a PayPal drop-up panel automatically on the checkout page.

      If this option is disabled, PayPal will not appear by default. Instead, guests must manually click “Pay by PayPal” to open the PayPal payment option and proceed with the transaction.
  • Title: Name shown to customers for this payment method at checkout

To configure the QloApps Marketplace PayPal Commerce Payment Gateway module, the admin must have an active PayPal account. 

These credentials are required to enable secure communication between QloApps and PayPal.

If you do not already have a PayPal account, create one at the link below before proceeding:

Once your account is ready, follow these steps to obtain the required API credentials:

  • Log in to your PayPal Developer Dashboard.
  • Select Sandbox or Live mode based on your setup.

  • Go to Apps & Credentials.

  • Click Create App if an application is not already created.
    • Enter an App Name to identify your PayPal integration.
    • Select App Type as Platform to support marketplace transactions. 
    • Choose the Country associated with your business account.

After creation, open the application to view your Client ID and Client Secret and copy these values and paste them into the module configuration fields in QloApps.

Note:If your app is already created, go to Apps & Credentials.
Search for the app you need, open it, and you will find the Client ID and Secret Key.

  • Log in to your PayPal Developer Dashboard.
  • Go to Sandbox Accounts under the developer section.

  • Locate the sandbox account linked to the application you created (it will show a Partner tag).

  • Click on the account to open details.
  • Scroll down to Sandbox Account Info.

  • Copy the Merchant ID from the account details section.

Once the admin enables the QloApps Marketplace PayPal Commerce Payment Gateway module, sellers can connect their PayPal accounts to receive payouts.

A new tab, PayPal Onboard, will appear in the seller dashboard.

When the seller clicks on this option, they must first select their country and proceed.

Once the seller clicks Proceed, they are redirected to the PayPal login page, where they enter their credentials and authorize the connection.

After a successful connection, the Onboard page will show options: Connected with PayPal Account or Disconnect.

By connecting their PayPal account, sellers can receive their share of booking payments automatically.

Based on the configured disbursement mode (instant or delayed), ensuring faster and more transparent payouts.

When a guest proceeds to checkout, they can choose PayPal as their payment option.

They are then redirected to the PayPal login or payment page, where they complete the transaction using their PayPal balance, linked cards, or other supported methods. 

Once the payment is successful, the booking amount is automatically split between the admin and the seller according to the configured disbursement mode, either instant or delayed. 

Note: If a guest books from two partner hotels and one has an inactive PayPal, then system will not allow checkout via PayPal; another payment method must be used.

In the QloApps Marketplace, the admin can monitor seller PayPal connections through the PayPal Onboarding tab. 

This section displays all sellers who have connected their PayPal accounts, along with details such as Seller ID, Seller Name, PayPal Merchant ID and more

Admins can click View to see a seller’s Partner Onboarding Details

Admins can view all PayPal transactions in the PayPal Transactions tab of the QloApps Marketplace. This section provides a complete overview of payments.

Admin clicks on View to check  Seller Transaction Details.

  • Log in to the QloApps Admin Panel using your admin credentials.
  • Go to Marketplace > PayPal Transactions.
  • Review the list of all PayPal transactions.
  • Locate the booking transaction for which the seller’s payout is pending.

  • Click on the transaction entry to open the Seller Transaction Details page.
  • On this page, verify the transaction amount, seller details, and disbursement status.
  • Click the Release Seller Amount button to initiate the payout to the seller.

  • Once processed, the transaction status will update, confirming that the seller has received the payment.
